Design by
David Brown
I have same level of qualification in design as I have in music which is to say, virtually none.

I’ve never let lack of ability or formal training stop me from diving headlong into things and design is no exception.

It’s been a huge gift to discover a new passion in the second half of my life.
Soyuz Microphones
Soyuz Microphones was my first foray into the world of industrial design. I tried to combine iconic Russian features such as the golden domes of the Russian churches in order to create a product that would reflect the land it came from. I relied heavily on the Golden Ratio in order to try to create balanced forms.
Tula Microphones
Tula Microphones is my attempt to create a true consumer electronics device. I wanted the Tula to fit well in a human hand so I based the dimensions on a pack of cigarettes, which happens to be an exact Golden Ratio.
BRICS Monuments
The BRICS Monument is an attempt to create a monument that captures the spirit of the multi-polar world. It features 5 spheres of equal size and the negative space created by the necks between them are the exact size to welcome new member
Interior/Furniture
I've just begun my foray into furniture design. The first two tables are being built and will be featured in our Studio Salon
